Background
Build Bright University (Sihanouk Province Campus) is located in the town center with the spacious compound of nearly 2,100m2 and with very comfortable and convenient building and sufficient equipment. It is one of the nine campuses, called BBU V, operating in Cambodia. BBU V, was recognized by Prakas No 562 of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport. It started its academic activities in 2003 in order to offer higher education and vocational training services to students in the southwest provinces, such as Sihanouk Ville, Koh Kong, Kampot, and Kep Ville. Based on the need of the people in the provinces, we are offering different levels of education ranging from vocational training to master degrees. The campus has three faculties, namely Faculty of Business Management, Faculty of Information Technology, and Faculty of Education and Languages and Master Degree.

Geographical Location
Sihanouk Province, 230 km from Phnom Penh, is located on the coast of Cambodia, about halfway between Thailand and Vietnam. It is bordering Koh Kong on the North, Kampot on the East, and the Bay of Thailand on the west and south. Sihanouk Province is receiving a massive transfusion of foreign investment funds and has been allocated for major tourist 19 development. For many years, Sihanouk Province's pristine, peaceful, white sandy beaches have been a secret to a few hardy travelers.
Build Bright University decided to establish its campus in Sihanouk Province obviously because of the wonderful potential and great opportunity for development. The campus offers master, bachelor and associate degrees, and vocational training courses which could help enhance the capabilities of students as they face their future career in the city of golden beaches.
Education Focus
Prash Sihanouk province is considered as one of the three important cities in Cambodia. This city is well known to all Cambodian because of its biggest seaport known as Port Authority of Prash Sihanouk province and the beautiful beach with clean white sand. The government has signed contracts with NGOs as well as taken loans with low interest rate to develop the city. As a result, the Japenese government has granted some loans for Port Authority of Sihanouk Ville to expand the port and develop some zones called he special economic zone. At the same time, the government has planned to renovate the Kang keng International Airport as well. Furthermore, Chevron Texaco, which is considered as the biggest oil company in the world, declares that they found a very precious natural resurce in Cambodia Sea. This seems to be very good opportunity for people in Prash Sihanouk province as well as Cambodians. There is hope that employment rate in this city well rise after all projects are successfully accomplished.
As the project is going on its way, the government declares that one resource will be urgently needed to support these entire projects and this is the human resource. To meet this challenge, BBU, which is considered as a leading university in Cambodia, has been doing all its best to produce the qualified human resources.
Build Bright University, Prash Sihanouk province Campus, commits to develop the regional qualified graduates who will enhance organizational performance for the growth and sustainable development of economics and societies in Prash Sihanouk province in particular and the wholeCambodia in general. Currntly, there are three faculties that are already in operation such as Faculty of Business Management, Faculty of Education and language, and Faculty of Information Technology.
The fields in the Faculty of Business management are Management and Leadership, Accounting and Finance, Marketing Economics, Program and Project Development, International Business Management, Agro-Business Mnagement, and Agro-industry. The fields in the Faculty of language are Teacher of English and Interpreter/Translator. The fields in the Faculty of Information technology are Internet Design, Programmer, Network, and Database. In order to conform to the requirement of Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC), BBU V has started implementing its Foundation Year Program since the Students upon completion of the program.
Administrators
Build Bright University, Preah Sihanouk Province Study Center, is run and managed by a Director of BBU Study Center and two the First Vice Director for Foundation Year Graduate Post Studies Graduate Studies Student Services Publication and Enrollment and Vice Director of Administration Finance and Property Planning Academic Service and Center of Foreign Language. Totally there are 37 staff (17 females) working full-time and 01 staff (01 male) working part-time in 09 different Office: Administration and Personnel Office, Accounting Office, Treasury Office, Academic Service and Planning, Quality Assurance Audit and Foundation of Higher Education Office, Student Service and Enrollment Office, Center of Foreign Languages Office, Foundation Year, Graduate Post Graduate and Publication. Additionally, there are 58 teaching staffs lecturing to student in three faculties, Faculty of Business management, Faculty of Information Technology, and Faculty of English Literature.

By pursuing overall mission "to be committed to provide students needed knowledge and skills that meet national and international standard", BBU (Sihanouk Province Campus) serves the human resource development needs in Cambodia by taking into account their specific development priorities, gender issues and social values. Aiming at providing a solid academic foundation in an emerging region, the University currently has about 900 students enrolled in associate and bachelor degree, 80 students enrolled in master degree, and more than 2000 students enrolled in short courses. These are students from the neighboring provinces. Through rich and varied curricula designed to fit the needs of the environment, students are presented with numerous opportunities for intellectual growth and academic experiences.
